1/24/2012-I absolutely LOVE "Skins" I go to the Pelham Rd location all the time!! Staff knows what I want everytime I come in! Extra excited about the Skins on Congaree Rd!! Woop Woop =) - Stephanie, Greenville, SC

1/20/2012-I love "Skins". I was just wondering if any plans for a store in the Powdersville area, that area is closer for me then Mills Ave. or Mauldin, that would make it more likely for me to enjoy the hot dogs more often.-Amy, Greenville, SC

1/13/2012-When is the new Skins opening on Congaree Road in Greenville, SC?-Ann

Barbara, we do not have any plans for Simpsonville/Fountain Inn at this time. We are opening a new store on Congaree Rd in Greenville the week of January 24th. Thanks for your interest.-Skins

1/13/2012-Any chance of opening a Skins in Simpsonville/Fountain Inn area?- Barbara, Simpsonville, SC

12/20/2011-I lived in Greenville from 1996 thru 2000 and I worked in the Social Security office in Anderson during that time, which was a couple doors down from Skins on Clemson Blvd. Skins quickly became my favorite place for lunch. At first I couldn't understand the concept of a restaurant that served only hot dogs until I started eating them. The bread was always steamed and fresh, the hot dogs had a very good taste and boy oh boy that chili topping was the best! I'm speaking in past tense because I moved back home to Baltimore in 2000 and I haven't had Skins since then but I have always longed for a good Skins hot dog! The next time I'm in the area Skins will be the first place I go to eat. Yummy! Thanks so much for keeping this great business alive for so long!!-Brian, Baltimore, MD

11/13/2011-We lived in Greenville for 12 yrs, now live in South Dakota. Do you ship orders? We miss your dogs and would do this on a regular basis. We always ate there once a week...thanks.-Robert, South Dakota

11/8/2011-PLEASE come to Greer. We need you here!-Doug, Greer, SC

10/30/2011-I worked for Tracy at the Hwy 81 location for over two years. That was hands down the best job I have ever had, and Tracy is the best! I'm proud to have worked for such a nice, family oriented company. I'll always miss you now that I'm in Arizona! (Especially since the chili on the hot dogs here have beans! Yuck!)-Amber, Phoenix, AZ

10/21/2011-I have been eating Skins since 1959 and everytime I visit my son and grandchildren, I always eat a skins hotdog almost daily. Wish we had them in Texas!- Tom, Texas

10/21/2011-I am from Anderson and our grandmother would always take us to Skins. Best hotdogs ever hands down. I have literally got into heated arguments with people about Skins being the best hotdog ever made. Everyone of those people who tried a Skins hotdog agreed after one bite. Thank you for the great food and the great memories. Any chance of an Orlando location, if so I will be the first in line.-Jessica, Orlando, FL

10/21/2011-Can I get the weiners shipped to me?-Tom

Sorry Tom for now the only thing we ship is the products on our website. We are working on shipping cakes and hotdogs.-Skins

10/14/2011-My dad lives in Anderson and ever since he discovered Skins' and I would visit, he would take me there. I soon fell in love with the hot dogs. Recently, my grandparents paid my dad a visit and when they came back, sure enough there was a Skin's care package straight from my dad in their freezer. I just ate two of them and they are amazing! Skin's is a must when I come visit. Wish we had something like this in Illinois. Keep up the good work!-Sidney, Sullivan, IL

10/11/2011-I lived with my family in Sandy Springs, SC from 1978-1981. I worked downtown Anderson and two to three times a week I took my lunch break at Skin's. I would order 2 and try my best not to order the 3rd. Occasionally I would succeed and not give into my temptations, but most of the times would eat the 3rd and sometimes I would end up with the 4th. I have been known to have the 5th dog. Quite often I would bring supper (Skin's Dogs) home and would have to bring my girls big jars of pickles, too. MY daughter, now with kids of her own, stopped by the Anderson Skin's a few years ago for some hotdogs. She told me she was going by there on her way home from the beach. I told her she better bring me some dogs. She left Anderson with my dogs in an insulated container, and came straight to my house in Knoxville while the dogs were still warm, 3 hours later I was eating Skins's hotdogs. Ummmmmm Total bliss. Thanks for carrying on Skin's tradition.-Jerry, Knoxville, TN

9/23/2011-To Mike: enjoyed reading the history and surfing your website. Well done! I'm planning to pick up some chili for our tailgating tomorrow- I'm sure it will be great. Hope you and your family are doing well!- Wayne, Anderson, SC

9/1/2011-I LOVEEE Skins hot dogs!!!!-Shealyn, Pendleton, SC

8/30/2011-Now all you need is one in Atlanta to combat these terrible Varsity hot dogs...no good hot dogs around here that don't have a bunch of "stuff" on them.- Richard, Greenwood, SC

Richard-There seems to be a rumor around town that we are closed. This rumor has been going on since we opened. Business has been very good, probably too good since this rumor is so strong. We have been open since the first of March and have no plans to close. Business is too good. Maybe our operating hours have thrown some people off. We are not sure. (Closed Sunday and Monday and the week of the fourth.) Greenwood has supported us well and I think it will continue into the future. Please spread the word around we are doing fine. I think we are just selling too many hotdogs in Greenwood for some folks.- Matt Thrasher, one of Skin's boys

8/30/2011-Below you guys said you were hoping to be open in Greenwood for years to come but recent (last few weeks) word around the town is you're closed. Any truth to that? I hope not!- Richard, Greenwood, SC

8/26/2011-Hartwell really needs a Skins!! It would be a win - win for Skins & Hartwell!! Please come to HARTWELL!-Jackie, Hartwell, GA

8/25/2011-i lyke ur HAWT dawgzz- Nycha, Mauldin, SC

8/22/2011-Wish you all were not so far away!-Larry, Asheville, NC

7/13/2011-I had a dream about, the place,,,My sister is Simone Wilson and she took me there years ago when I was home for awhile, she was married to George Wilson who owned the Holliday Inn in Anderson, I tried to get their recipe but they would not give it up, I was going to open one in Seattle about the time Bill Gates took Microsoft public, I knew Bill Gates and his attorney "Marty", they were going to finance a couple of locations,, any way, went to South America,, Keep up the good work.-Mark, Spokane, WA

Matt-We are still in Greenwood SC. Been there since the first of March. Our store is doing very well and we think we will be there for years to come. God has blessed us again. Spread the word Skins is doing great!- Matt Thrasher, Vice President  Skins Inc.

6/28/2011-Just wondering if you ever thought of opening a store in the Fountain Inn area. Fountain Inn being an old mill town and being set in the history of the town would come a cheap meal for the community to enjoy. The history of skins dates back to the mill times and how Mr. Thrasher catered to the mill lifestyle of quick cheap meals for the community and I believe that this type of business would be just what Fountain Inn needs. I would love to hear your comments.-Kurtis

5/14/2011-Hello, my family and I live in Farmington Hills, Michigan. We come down to SC once a year and it is always on our list to eat at Skins in Seneca everyday. Unfortunately we will no longer be able to come down because my grandparents are moving up here. The workers at the Seneca restaurant know the Van Parys's quite well. Anyways I was wondering if you will ever open a skin's around here or if you could ship food up here because Skin's is my favorite restaurant in the whole world. Thank You-Alec, Farmington Hills, MI

5/8/2011-Hi I just wanna let yall know that my family and I like skins hotdogs. Every one in awhile we'll go by a skins and get us a couple of hotdogs and a bag of chips with a coke. Btw I also wanted to ask if at possible that yall could maybe build a skins in Powdersville, seeing how it's a growing little town with some new business either moving from an old location to a new on there, or new ones coming altogether also cause thats alot closer for me and my family. The closest one is in Easley and thats about 16 or 17 miles away. Cause I live in Pelzer and Powdersville is like about 8 or 9miles from me. Thanks and hope you have an awesome weekend take care and God Bless..-Dale

There's many campgrounds off of exit 11 on 85 on the outskirts of anderson..I think it's Hwy 24. There's not many food places yet, just several new grocery stores and such...Might be a great place for the next new one. Or Asheville NC :)-Eric

2/9/2011-My daughter lives in TN. and has an 8 year and 6 year old, they have had Skin's hot dogs when they have visited me. I was going up to see them at Thanksgiving and had to take Skin's hot dogs to them. The 6 year old had a accident the night before I went and had to be taken to the emergency room for stitches. As the Dr. was stitching up his head my grandson looks at him and says "My Nana is coming to see me tomorrow and bring Skin's hotdogs."  The Dr. ask his mother what he was talking about. She told him about Skin's and when they left the Dr. said he was going to have to come to Anderson to get him some hot dogs, that they had gotten him to wanting one.-Shirley, Anderson, SC

2/6/2011-You folks need to open a Skins here in the Atlanta or Great Atlanta area. After moving away from Clemson, I have missed the ability to stop by a Skins location and grab a dog or 4. I swear when I saw a picture of Skin, I thought, "he looks like my Dad and my uncles!" Do you still have the prints with Thrasher on the sign? I hope to one day make it from my home in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada to your fine establishment! Maybe we could do a family tree? By the way, we are having our 21st Thrasher Reunion this July! -Christine, Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada

6/25/2010-Is there any way that I could order a pint of your chili and have it sent down here to Fort Benning, GA. I have been trying for months to get my brother to send me some (he lives in Belton). He claims he has it in his fridge but after a couple of months it isn't any good. I'm not trying to bootleg your recipe, I have just told everyone at the hospital how good your dogs are and I know it won't be exactly the same as sitting on your stool but it should be close enough with the chili that they can get a taste of a real dog. Thanks Much. -Carl, Fort Benning, GA
